WALL WORK
Drawing Installation for “LOST”, Wall Works, Barbur Gallery, Jerusalem
4th Biennal of Drawing, Jerusalem, Israel 2010
For the 4th Biennial of Drawing, I created a site-specific drawing on the walls of the gallery. Using charcoal and eraser, I draw, rub into and erase on the wall, bringing out its texture and recent archeology, and adding my own layer of markings. I work for several days before the opening, then during the opening and at intervals during the two month run of the show. In the end, I wash down the wall with a sponge, and return it to its former white facade.
