In this series of meditative works, the paper surface is built up with white or black wall putty, then covered with either graphite powder or pigment. Grid lines, etched with a metal point or cutting blade, create different densities and weaves.
Etching into the plaster, weaving a gauze-like fabric, the repetitive work records the minute variations and imperfections caused by the simple human activity.
