DISAPPEARING
Venice, Italy 2009
In an old Venetian palazzo I make drawings of the ornamental elements of the old building- its ornate lamps, mirrors, wallpaper, furnishings, paintings, and I position them around the rooms. At the opening I move around and slowly erase these drawings, until only faint traces remain of each.
The work was created in the Palazzo Ca Zanardi, in Venice, as part of a performance event for the festival “Veneto: Spettacoli di Mistero”.
