In my studio, what began as experimentation on the walls for other site projects becomes a sitework in itself. Using charcoal powder, graphite powder, charcoal and coloured pencils, collaged fragments of random knowledge from an old Encyclopedia Britannica, I began drawing on a wall - this spread out to include the other walls and surfaces- wooden panels, drywall surface, bulletin board, and other tools for incising, scraping gouging into surfaces, and to incorporate everything else that shared the space at the moment - books, artwork, objects, photographs, reproductions and notes. Lines connecting nail holes or marks, created a web temporarily linking all the disparate pieces.
